| Looks and feels like nylon, but it is lighter in weight. Polypropylene yarns are extruded in many colors, which keeps the cost down, as nylon and polyester yarns must be dyed. Polypropylene does not absorb water; it floats, is rot proof, and it is resistant to oil, gasoline and most chemicals and acids.
